Duke

Duke is 5 year old American Bull Dog cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Through no fault of his own, he had three homes before he came to us, none of which were able to provide this perfectly able and sociable dog with a future.

Duke spent two years in our pack overcoming separation anxiety issues, and has now found the perfect home for him with an extended family of children and dogs, all of whom he loves to be amongst.

He was also a big hit at collecting money, with nobody able to resist his considerable charm and love of life.

Dolly

Dolly came to us an 11 week old Mastiff cross puppy from the RSPCA, which had some concerns about her temperament.

She proved to be the sweetest pup I have ever had in my care and has grown into a calm, gentle, loving dog.

Dolly now lives with Fleur and her other human and canine family.

Alfie

Alfie is a lurcher. He came to us from another rescue centre, where he had been for 12 months without finding a new home.

Alfie spent four months with us and learned from the other dogs how to interact politely.

Alfie now lives in a wonderful rural environment with a loving family including children, cats, dogs, horses, chickens and rabbits.

Storm

Storm is a female, blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Storm came to us at six months of age, having been bought as a puppy by two youngsters who hadn’t thought things through.

Having spent a few months in the pack, Storm developed into a confident, engaging, young lady, and she now lives happily with two active and committed youngsters who DID think things through.

Mia

Mia is a three year old Jack Russell neutered female.

She came to us from a loving rescue home where she was proving to be too strong a personality. She now lives happily with a local family and a male Jack Russell, enjoying daily trips to the beach.

Freddie

Freddie came to us as a Christmas orphan, unwanted at the age of 9 months. He now lives a diverse and busy life with two of our volunteers and his brother Ash, a lurcher.

Freddie is also our DDBR&R mascot, you can see him in the website header at the top of this page.

He is an extraordinary character who provides his owners with constant amusement. They only made one Freddie! His love of life and his ability to be in the wrong place, doing the wrong thing, at the wrong time – with a smile on his face – is second to none.

Otis

Otis, a Weimaraner, came to us because one of the dogs in his home began to show aggression towards him. We were able to successfully place him with a local vet nurse who knows and loves the breed.

Alfie

Alfie is a Collie cross Springer who came to us at 17 weeks of age seeking a home through no fault of his own.

He now lives an energetic outdoor life with his older canine brother, and spends his days amongst horses.
